If you love dark nail polishes as much as I do, you know that not putting a clear coat before the dark polish will lead to stained nails, and stained nail are not pretty to look at. I do a simple three step cleaning process that leaves my nails looking pretty again. lol
- lukewarm water
- vinegar
- half a lime
- nail brush
- lotion
- In a small container, I use a ramekin, fill it a little above half ways with lukewarm water Add a splash or two of vinegar and a bit of lime juice.
- Soak your nails in the solution for about 5-15 minutes depending on how stained your nails are.
- With the solution still on your nails, rub the lime half of them.
- Being gently but still a bit rough, brush your nails with the nail brush. Do this until the stains have come off.
- Once you are done, wash your hands with soap an massage lotion on your cuticles, and your'e done!
If you want to avoid getting stained nails; ALWAYS use clear nail polish as a base.
