#nailartjan-Day 16- Gradient

(Nature is stared because I did do it, but I didn't like how it came out so I did not post it)

Hey guys! Hope you all doing well! We are now halfway through the challenge! I think I might actually finish this one, and that makes me so happy!
So, as I said above, I did not post day 13 (Nature) because I did not like it. I wanted to do a moon over two fingers, and tree shadow on the rest but that did not happen. It ended up looking so messy, and it just wasn't what I had hoped for.

This gradient mani wasn't what I was hoping for either, but it turned out way better then my nature one. I wanted to do a water marble on my nails but that was a fail, so I opted for just a sponge to achieve a  watercolors effect. I wanted my nail to look like pretty ocean water. Do you think I achieved that? I will deffinately be doing this with different colors at a later time. I was thinking maybe in the summer I could use all neons or pastels! But we shall see.

Accent nail: Revlon-Urban, Sally Hansen- Jaded, and Sinful Colors- Aquamarine. I have Sinful Colors- Snow me White as a base for the accent nail.
The rest of the nails are two coats of Sinful Colors- Aquamarine,

Up close! I swear I don't have polish on my edges, its the light reflecting on my cuticle oil.

If you'd like to see a tutorial for how I did this, please let me know!

#nailartjan- Day 09- Pattern

Hi guys! So today, again a day late, i bring you my design for this months nail art challenge. Day 9 in pattern. Yesterday I did not have much time do think of anything so I went for something simple. I actually did two different patterns. I was able to do this because I only removed the accent nail from Day 6's disaster. I decided to leave them because I didn't have much time to remove all the glitter, and I had really liked the color combination. For my first design I made a simple cheetah print. I liked it, but thought it was a bit to simple, so I decided to make a few flowers for an accent nail and stamp the rest with a polka design.

------------------------------------------

The first pattern/print I did. For this one I used two Rimmel London Lasting Finishing Pro colors in Hot Cocoa, and Steel Gray.

Color Zone- No Name ( Bought this in a Instagram destash)
Santee- White
Santee-Modern Purple
Salon Perfect- Loopy Lime

I used the soft lavender for the stamping, and I love it! I really think this makes it look more soft and dainty.
For the polka dots I used a Bumdle Monster plate (#BM19).

Up close- Unfortunately right when I was stamping I noticed I had a bit of polish coming off by my cuticle. I decided to just leave it alone as I did not want to add another coat of glitter. Sorry!

I hhope you find this as cute as I did, haha!
Until next time! <33

#nailartjan- Day 06- Sparkles

So for this month I decided to do a nail art challenge by @CaliforniaNails on Instagram. I really liked this one from all the other ones I had seen because this one does not require you to do your nails everyday.
For day 06, the challenge was to do sparkles.
I had a brand new Candies nail polish from Christmas so I really wanted to use that.
As a base coat, I used a Milani nail polish. I really liked the pairing of these two. They really compliment each other well.
I still though that my nails needed more sparkle, so I decided to attempt a glitter placement for my accent nail. I choose a gold glitter to contrast the silver. That was a big mistake! Not only did the glitters bleed the color on to my nail, they also shifted. Needless to say I am very sad with the way this turned out. I will deffinetely be attempting this soon.

Can you see the bleeding on the gold? It kinda looks like hidden shells in the sand here..which I kinda like. Haha.

If you are joining this challenge, let me know! I would love to see what you guys come up with!

Until next time! <3
