Fuzzy Nails!

Doesn't that look like a cute furry monster? NO? Hmm, maybe it's just me.  I don't know why, but I like how this looks, the fuzzyness is just too darn cute! There nails are as cute as they are easy; you only need two things to make them possible!

  •  Flocking Powder (available at craft stores!)
  • Clear nail polish

  • Lay down a piece of scratch paper on your work surface
  • Apply clean nail polish on your nail, and white still wet, shake the flocking powder over your nail.
  • Let dry, and with a brush, brush off excess from your skin.
See, that was simple!
One thing to keep in mind though; these don't last very long!
They WILL wash off in the shower completely, and the powder will start to come off if you get it wet even just a bit. To avoid this, you could seal it with the clear nail polish, but then they will not be fuzzy.

If you try these, let me know your results and what color you used :)
Also, if there are any nail tutorials you'd like, let me know as well! Thank you!

How to clean stained nails

If you love dark nail polishes as much as I do, you know that not putting a clear coat before the dark polish will lead to stained nails, and stained nail are not pretty to look at. I do a simple three step cleaning process that leaves my nails looking pretty again. lol

  • lukewarm water
  • vinegar
  • half a lime
  • nail brush
  • lotion

  • In a small container, I use a ramekin, fill it a little above half ways with lukewarm water Add a splash or two of vinegar and a bit of lime juice.
  • Soak your nails in the solution for about 5-15 minutes depending on how stained your nails are.
  • With the solution still on your nails, rub the lime half of them.

  • Being gently but still a bit rough, brush your nails with the nail brush. Do this until the stains have come off.

  • Once you are done, wash your hands with soap an massage lotion on your cuticles, and your'e done!

If you want to avoid getting stained nails; ALWAYS use clear nail polish as a base.

If you have other ways of avoiding this, or different ways to clean stained nails, i'd love to hear about it!
