Movember

I am very happy to show you my Movember nails!

In case you don't already know, Movember is “No shave November.” It  is when men grow beards to raise awareness for men’s mental health issues, in addition to testicular and prostate cancers.
Often times mean, and women, will come together and fund raise for the cause.
And sometimes, at the end of the month, Mustache parties will be thrown in celebration of a month long beard/mustache growing achievement.

If you would like to know more or to donate to the cause, you can go HERE.
To donate, you can go HERE.

Anyways, for my nails I used : Blurred Lines and Holy Grail by 32Flavors Nail Candy
My little mustache is made out of polymer clay. It came out a bit too thick, but I was overall happy with it.
If you'd like a tutorial on it, please let me know!

I know I am super late on writing about this, but better late then never! Right? Haha

The ceramic little bird I am holding is what inspired the colors.
P.s. I made that bird in ceramics about a year ago. :)

Plase, if you have any questions or request feel free to write to me!

Strawberies & Lemonade Popsicles

Some of you may think I am crazy for posting this in the middle on November, but here in Salinas, the weather is still hot enough to enjoy some popsicles. This past week the temperatures were in the high 60's. I know for some of you that might be a bit cold, but let me tell you something: SALINAS WEATHER IS CRAZY! Seriously. This morning around 9am, the skies were gray and there was fog, and some sprinkling. Fast forward to 11ish and the skies has cleared up and the sun was shinning bright! I was getting hot rather quickly. Then at around 2pm we were back to cold weather. Salinas weather is like this everyday! Haha.

So anyways, it hasn't been too cold for me to enjoy one of these. Well, more of my nieces and nephew. They absolutely love these, and I don't feel guilty giving it to them since its make with real lemons and strawberries. AND, these isn't much sugar in these.

 -4 lemons
-sugar, to taste
-2 cups water
-red food coloring
-strawberries

--Place your popsicle molds in the freezer! --
 1. In a measuring cup, juice your lemons. Add 2 cups water and sugar to taste. Mix well and add a drop or two of red food coloring.
2. Wash and thinly slice your strawberry.

3. Take your mold out of the freezer and place the strawberries on the wall of the molds. The strawberries will stick right on because the mold is already cold.

4. Place your mold back in the freezer for about 3 minutes.

5. Take the mold out, and fill with your lemonade.

5. Place back in freezer until your popsicles are solid!
The time will vary, but I was able to take mines out after 45 minutes with no breaking,

Sorry that I do not have an after picture. My nieces ate them before I could snap one. :( Once I make this again, which will be soon, I will update with the after picture. :)

Baked Parmesan Chicken

Yummy in my tummy!

Just like the last post, I found the pictures for this is an old memory card and I am excited! Haha,
Why on earth would anyone be excited about chicken you ask? Well, this chicken is extra special! It is coated in Parmesan cheese! And let me tell you THAT is something to be excited about! Ha! This chicken goes well with anything! I set it on a bed of spaghetti but it would be perfect with rice and other pastas. Oh, and it is super in a sand which!

Before we get started, I know that is is  not the 'traditional' way of coating chicken, but it makes it so much easier for me. Give it a try, I promise you will save a lot of time. :)

-4 to 6 chicken breast
-3 large eggs
-2 tablespoons milk
-1/2 cup flour
-2 cups bread crumbs
-1 cup Parmesan cheese
-pinch of italian spices (optional)
-butter

-

-Preheat oven to 350-
1. Rinse and prepare your chicken by cutting off any excess fat, and cutting in half if it is to big.

2. In one bowl whisk the eggs and milk. In another, mix the flour, bread crumb, Parmesan cheese and spices.

 3. Coat your chicken with the egg mixture, then with the bread crumb mix. Make sure to give it a good coat. I only coated it once, but twice would have been much better.
4.Arrange in a single layer on a butter coated baking dish. Bake until chicken is fully cooked!!!

I hope you give this recipe a try, and if you do please let me know how you like it!
Don't forget to share if you like what you see!

DIY-Infinity Ring

I hope these are still popolar! Haha. I had completely forgotten I had these pictures/tutorial for you guys!
Luckily I went through my memory card before deleting it.
Anyways, for these, you need a THING A MA JIG. It is the contraption I have pictured down below. These can be found at Michaels. Use a coupon when you can!! If you don't have one of these, you can go ahead an use round nose pliers. :) AND, the wire must be the one pictured below (German Style). You can use the 20 like I did, or the 22.
Let's get started!
-German Style wire
-Thing a ma jig
-Wire cutters
-Round nose pliers
-Ring mandrel (or a chapstick)

1.Cut a 5 inch piece of wire. Wrap it around two of your thing a ma jig poles like below.
If you are using pliers, you're going to do the same thing.

 2. You're going to end up with something like this.
 3. Now cut off the tails....
 4. Using your ring mandrel or chap stick make a circle.
Cut off the ends to get a horseshoe shape...
5.Using your round nose pliers, curl both ends out.
 6. Attach your infinite symbol and you are done!

If you give this tutorial a try show me your recreations!
Don't forget you can tag me on instagram, email me or commnet down below! If you enjoyed this tutorial, share it!

Pumpkin Spice Latte!

I wish you could have all smelled this as I was making it!
The aroma of pumpkin pie completely took over my whole kitchen, and it was amazing!

Now, I don't know how it is where you live, but here, every time I try and get a latte from Starbucks, the lines are long! Sometimes out the door, and c'mon who really has time to wait? I know I don't! I did a quick Google search and hundreds of recipes came up, but this one won me over! LOL.
It is super simple, and if you bake pumpkin pies you already have the ingredients! PLUS, you get a whole lot more from this then you would at Starbucks. Haha.

-2 cups milk
-2 tablespoons sugar
-2 tablespoons pumpkin puree (I used fresh one, but from a can is okay)
-1 tablespoon vanilla extract
-1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
-1/2 cup strong coffee

Hope you try this! Trust me, you will love it! There might not be anything better for the fall them this..it is like a pumpkin pie in a cup!

If you try it let me know!

Review-32 Flavors Nail Candy (Nail Polish)

(From left to right: Blurred Lines, Power Trip, Love on Top, Hell on Heels, Brown Sugar, and Holy Grail. )
Launching on 11/29/2013

I am so excited to be able to bring this indie polish review for you all! I did receive these polishes for free, but all opinions are my own, and I am being honest with you all. (Really!)

Let's begin!
Before I start on the polishes individually, I must say this collection (IT WAS ALL A DREAM) was a nice surprise. The polishes do have glitter, but they are not glitter bombs like I am used to seeing with many Indie polish brands. The colors are pigmented, and the glitter is just enough. Also, the coverage is great! I only needed ONE coat with most of these! Oh, and the formula is great! It goes on very easy AND easily!

Blurred Lines: Cobalt blue with micro glitter.

(In direct sunlight)

(Two thin coats)

Power Trip:  Jade green with micro glitters.

(In direct sunlight)

(Two thin coats)

Love on Top: Pumpkin orange with micro glitters.
This one here, looked to be very sheer in the bottle, but once I put it on, it was very pigmented!

(In direct sunlight)

(One coat)

Hell on Heels: Apple red with micro glitters.

(In direct sunlight)

(One coat)

Brown Sugar: Chocolate brown with micro glitters.

(In direct sunlight)

(One coat)

Holy Grail:  Large hex glitters and small round glitters suspended in clear polish.

(In direct sunlight)

(One coat)

I can honestly say that these polishes are worth buying. Brown sugar, Love on Top, Power Trip and Blurred Lines are definitely going to make an appearance in all my fall nail designs. Hell on Heels and Holy Grail will be a staple during Christmas season. :)
